Today's Key - Present Continuous and Going to

El Present Continuous se compone con
el verbo auxiliar "to be" + un verbo+ing
I am working
You/ We/They are studying
He/ She/It is playing

no se repiten los verbos auxiliares (am, is, are)
por ejemplo:
We are working, studying and playing at home.
She is writing a letter, chatting on Facebook and watching a movie at the same time.

Usamos el Present Now+ para indicar:

1) acciones o actividades que están sucediendo
ahora/en estos dias/ meses/años
2) arreglos o planes para el futuro

I am sending this message to let you know that I am replacing Dora at the office next week. She is currently working full time with clients and studying for her final exams at the University. (Her family is helping her with the house chores. Right now, her daughter Mary is cooking dinner and her husband Robert is washing dishes and doing the laundry). Next month they are going on a two months vacation to South America. We are looking forward to her return in March.

She is going to stay in Spain for a year.
We're going to start our classes in May.

John: What are you going to do this weekend? (Que van hacer este fin de semana?)
Rick: We are going to visit my grandparents in Tandil.(Vamos a visitar mis abuelos en Tandil)
John: What a coincidence! Mary and I are also going to go to Tandil this weekend.
