Miriam's Presentation- edited by dahli:
Hello, my name is Miriam, and I will be your tour guide while you're in Buenos Aires.
Nice to meet you. How do you do?
How was your flight?
How many hours did it take?

I would like to brief you shortly about
Buenos Aires. It is not a dangerous city, but it's a big one and all kind of people live here.
I need to caution you to watch your belongings: hand bags, cameras, etc.
We strongly urge to leave your passport at the hotel, just in case...
Please change currency only at a Money Exchange, at a Bank or preferably at your hotel. Never, ever change money in the street. It is dangerous. You might be given fake Pesos or might be robbed. The exchange rate is about $3.4 to the dollar and you'll need to show your passport. Banking hours are from
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Monday to Friday. There's a money exchange place that is open on weekends at the corner of Florida Street and Cordoba Avenue.
Taxies are black and yellow. Please ask the hotel receptionist to call one for you; it’s safer and surer that way.
The weather in Argentina during the month of February is usually very hot, but it can change any time, especially when you travel to Mendoza. Bariloche, may be a little cool or cold.

The city bus tour is included in your package- this is your voucher, you will need to hand it to the tour guide who will pick you up from the hotel lobby tomorrow morning, between
9:00 and 9:30 am.
You have 2 free days in B.A. before leaving for Iguazu and after returning from Batiloche, so if you'd like, I can suggest a few places to visit or things to do. For instance:
One night you may choose to go to a fabulous Tango Show to watch some of our best dancers and singers.
We have 3 different options to offer:
1) EL CAFE DE LOS ANGELITOS, a traditional place near Congreso Palace.
2) LA VENTANA which is located in an old building in San Telmo, the Historic Quarter of
Buenos Aires.
3) ESQUINA CARLOS GARDEL, located in the Gardel neighborhood.
I can also offer you a free shopping tour to a few leather factories that manufacture jackets, pants, skirts, bags, wallets, etc. Or, you may like to visit manufacturers producing Cashmere cloths or T shirts. They all have promotional prices. The tour takes only 2 or 3 hours and a driver will pick you up from the hotel, accompany you throughout the tour and bring you back to the hotel.
If you are interested in the traditional gaucho's life, don't miss the GAUCHO PARTY! Not only do they demonstrate the best Gaucho skills and have a typical singing and dancing show, they also cook the most delicious barbecue called Asado and offer a snack of Mate, a South American Tea, and sweet cakes. There are rides on carriages and horses too. Transfer to and from the hotel including a bilingual tour guide is provided. This is truly an excellent opportunity to enjoy a day in an Argentinean farm.
The last option is a trip to TIGRE. It begins with a scenic train ride to the DELTA, and from there, a boat journey on the river touring the islands. If you’d like, you may choose to stay for lunch, or not.
